Every once in a while, we come across these quite annoying pop-up requests to participate in online surveys. Usually, there's a redirect web page or an advertisement for the specific web address used for the online survey, such as the surveyprizecenter.com. Certain web browser add-ons and malware can plague you with surveys too. The surveys are quite well designed and usually claim that you've won a prize, an iPhone for example or a brand new laptop. All you have to do is submit the surveyprizecenter.com survey, provide your name, e-mail address, phone number and your prize is on its way. Unfortunately, we have never found one single pop-up survey prize that was legit. Also, should we trust a company that intentionally hides their registry information so you have no way to find out who's behind the survey. Probably not. What is more, seemingly known scam websites use Geo IP scripts to find out your ISP's location. For example, if you live in New York, the surveyprizecenter.com website will display customized survey titled "You Are Today's Lucky New York Visitor!". What is more, scam artist urge you to act fast and respond within two or three minutes; otherwise they will send the prize to someone else.
Usually, there is no way to unsubscribe and very often users can hardly work on their computer because of those annoying pop-ups. If you came across such online survey, don't participate and close pop-up window. However, if you keep having these surveys every day, then you should uninstall all unknown add-ons from your web browsers and scan your computer with anti-malware software.
If you're using Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, you can use ad blockers. We recommend Adblock Plus. Also, you should read our previous post about browser redirect problem.
